Following
a 20-year+ hiatus from the stage kirk bennett is preparing, what he
describes as,
"an
incendiary-guitar assault on my fans!"
With a
very select gathering of musicians Kirk once again comes to the stage
to demonstrate his new-found musical energies and paths performing
the music that has impacted and inspired his life.
In
the 20-some years since he last saw the limelight as a musician
Kirk has expanded his musical canvas and morphed from
bassist/backup-singer/collaborator to "incendiary
guitarist," singer, composer, arranger and producer.
"I'm mainly looking foreward to putting my new-found
lead-guitar and keyboard talents to the test."
Twice
Removed From Yesterday is a concept act which depicts my musical
experiences and provides me a vehicle for original material,
something I've long planned to make a reality. My fans are
going to finally be treated to the inside of my head and I promise
to deliver a bit of what you'd expect and, hopefully, even
more. Make no mistake, this is a very ego-centric project
and I will be striving to satisfy myself first. How do I do
that? Make the crowds happy, get them on their feet and
participating, singing and stomping along to many of the songs we
heard at the school dance, the car-wash, the boss's garden party
and maybe even the first time you got ... kissed. I'll be
performing hits and B-sides mixed with my new material so there
will something for those who want to explore my musical past and
my musical present. The prospect of this really excites me!
A
multifaceted player when I play the music of
others I am either a mimmick or an interpreter. now I will
also compose and collaborate (again) on material.
...
exposes real people with real faces
enduring real challenges in this un-real world. A brutally frank
expose of our times. Production has resumed with the
documentary entering a completely new phase of high-impact
material sure to jolt audiences.
See their stories, hear their experiences and then
like never before!
Production
has now resumed.
